HONED CONCRETE

Honed concrete is polished and grinded to a different matt finish instead of a glossy finish.

It is used both indoors and out, but is usually found in settings where there is a high chance of slipping. The finish has anti-slip properties and is very durable, making it ideal for pool skirting and BBQ areas. After you decide on an aggregate size, a clear sealer is applied and binds to the porous aggregate. This finish is easy to clean if food or drink is spilled on it.
